About

Virginia Jenkins MSN, APRN, FNP-C

I started my career as a visual artist obtaining my Master’s in Fine Art in 2009 from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. As an artist, I was awarded 5 Artist Residencies that allowed me to live in some of the most beautiful places all over North America (Banff, Mendocino, Santa Fe, West Palm, Seattle). Like many Memphians who leave, I eventually found my way back. There is truly no place like home!

Upon my return, I found my way in to an accelerated nursing program at UTHSC where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation I started my nursing career in Neuro Critical Care with some of the most talented amazing people I have known. As a nurse with an art background, I was recruited into aesthetics and trained by Sarah Carpenter Ognibene (a fabulous injector with over 25 years experience). She continues to be a beloved mentor to me! In 2024 I received my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Family Practice from the University of Memphis. Being an aesthetic injector has been an unexpected career path, but one where my expertise in art and science coalesce. It is truly a joy!
