Having worked as a sculpture artist before I became a nurse practitioner, people often asked me about the attributes I wanted my work as an artist to convey to my audience. One attribute out of all has always been most important to me: Timelessness. In this I mean beauty or qualities that transcend time. What is more, I wanted each piece to have their own presence, characteristic, and message. My Fine Art graduate professors wanted me to make molds of my strongest sculptures to produce many, many of the same pieces. This would allow me to have many more to sell and I may have a chance at surviving financially. However, I would rather spend the time creating one new piece rather than mass producing many of the exact same one!
